Over the past few weeks I got in and started the rebuild. The new cabinet/mitre saw station consisted of 4 bottom cabinets with pull out draws and slides. 

With the Cases in positioned the bench top was in stalled and the Mitre Saw placed in it's position

First was the Clamp Rack.

The top and back was 19mm2 Pine with a Tasmanian oak boarder around the top.

Sides and shelves were 19mm2 plywood glued and screwed. Tasmanian Oak dowels were used for the Spring clamps.

The clamps fitted well.

Found a nice piece of Gidgee that had been sitting around in the Workshop for years. 

I needed a new mallet for my chisels so decided to use it and turn it into a mallet.

With Sharp Tools it was easy to turn. I just took my time.

Well the draws are done and the draws pulls have worked out find.

The top has been put together but needs sanding and fixing into position.

The Lathe has been siting on a temporary Bench for years.  Rubbish has accumulated under and around it. 

Time for a proper Table with storage draws and a place to safely store the tuning tools and chisels.
