Well the draws are done and the draws pulls have worked out find. The top has been put together but needs sanding and fixing into position. The side draw which holds the Lathe Chisels has the holders. Luckily the longest chisel still fits with a small clearance at top and bottom. The Top has been positioned and has 4 coats of clear on it.
The Lathe has been siting on a temporary Bench for years. Rubbish has accumulated under and around it. Time for a proper Table with storage draws and a place to safely store the tuning tools and chisels. First to get the area cleaned up which will be a task in its self. Boards Cut up for the frame and put together. I used Pocket holes joinery again on this project. I added a Tasmanian Oak trim to the front edging and then it was time for a sand down with 180 and then 240 gri
Well it is time to make the last cabinet in the series. Somewhere to put my Spray cans and small paint tins. I wanted a shallow cabinet for the cans but tall enough for what i need. It also needed to match in with the other cabinets. I had the idea before doing the battery charging cabinet so knew what I wanted. This Finishes the back Wall. With the main cabinet on the wall it was time to sort out the Battery Drills and chargers. I also had in mind a cabinet for my Spray Paint and small tins of paint. So I had to design a cabinet that would integrate both the main cabinet and the thinner spray paint cabinet. It also had to match into the concept. I finished the cabinet again with 3 coats of clear urethane
My Garage was getting very messy and it was time to start cleaning and upgrading it. The back wall was first. I had to remove the old shelves and sort out what was staying and what was being thrown out. I made the shelving many year back as a temporary location to put my gear and it just stayed that way. After taking down the Shelves, I cleaned the wall and checked the location for the studs to hold the new cabinet The New Cabinet was put into position. Leveled and screwed in
